Based on our decades of experience in the waste management business, we have a good idea as to what size of garbage bin you might need for your home renovation or construction project. Here are some rough numbers to get you started. Please refer to the garbage bin images above for comparison.
12 Cubic Yard “Mini” Garbage Bins – this is our smallest roll-off garbage bin size available. It is ideal for a small house (approximately 1,200 s.f.) renovation, minor remodel, roofing job, landscaping project, garage purge or basement declutter. It is 13’L x 7’W x 4’H and has an average capacity of 5,000 kilograms (11,000 lbs.) of waste.
15 Cubic Yard Garbage Bins – this size of roll-off garbage bin is ideal for a small house (approximately 1,200 s.f.) renovation, minor remodel, roofing job, landscaping project, clean out or garage purge. It is 20’L x 8.2’W x 3’H and has an average capacity of 9,000 kilograms (20,000 lbs.) of waste.
18 Cubic Yard Garbage Bins – this mid-size roll-off garbage bin is ideal for a medium-sized house (approximately 2,000 s.f.) renovation, remodel, roofing job, landscaping project, clean out or garage purge. It is 16.5’L x 7.7’W x 5.25’H and has an average capacity of 5,000 kilograms (11,000 lbs.) of waste.
30 Cubic Yard Garbage Bins – this larger size roll-off garbage bin is ideal for a medium-large sized house (approximately 3,000 s.f.) renovation, remodel, demolition job, or large landscaping project. It is 20’L x 8’W x 5.5’H and has an average capacity of 9,000 kilograms (20,000 lbs.) of waste.
40 Cubic Yard Garbage Bins – this is our largest roll-off garbage bin size available. It is ideal for a large house (approximately 4,000+ s.f.) renovation, major construction, demolition job, or large landscaping project. It is 20’L x 7.25’W x 8’H and has an average capacity of 9,000 kilograms (20,000 lbs.) of waste.
